RockMUG offers YOU the opportunity to:

  • Network
Socialize with other interesting people who share your interests. Our friendly members are keen to meet you and share the very latest ways to use your Mac, play games, surf, and even help you find a job.
  • Learn and Teach
Our many Special Interest Groups (SIGs), requested and formed by our members, such as: Beginners/Users SIG; Digital Video/Photography SIG; Internet SIG; and Design & Graphic Arts SIG, offer all of our members the golden opportunity both to learn and share their expertise.
  • Get Help
Nobody knows everything. Okay, some of our members think they do. The important thing to keep in mind is that other MUG members are always there for you when you urgently, desperately need help with anything to do with your Mac hardware and/or software.

Typically, General Meetings begin with an overview of Apple news and buzz. Next, we open the floor to member questions. Quite often, one of our other members has encountered the problem that they are currently experiencing. Then, one of our members and, from time to time, representatives from Macintosh-related firms, give a presentation on a Mac or Apple-related topic. A broadband internet connection is also available so we can surf the net during the meeting.

After the meeting, we adjurn to the New City Diner (127 Route 304, Nanuet, NY) for a snack at 9 pm.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are an extremely popular benefit of RockMUG membership. In a SIG setting, we can more deeply delve into exploring a particular piece of software or task that a member would like to accomplish.
